The salt from the Dead Sea is, thanks to the high content of minerals and trace elements, considered a valuable source of the health and beauty. The newest method for its use in the fields of recondition, rehabilitation, prevention and protection of the health are salt caves. The first Prague salt cave originated in Prague 9 in Českomoravská street, in November, 2005 it was completed by the second cave at Korunovační třída. The walls are of salt blocks of different colours originating from the Polish Klodava, Pakistan or Ukraine. The floor is formed by the salt from the Dead and Black Seas, flowing through the fountains is a salt waterfall from which iodine and magnesium release. Used on the whole for the construction of the cave were 21.5 tons of salt about 20 million years old. The salt cave is a place of calm and relaxation.
